Objectives
Worksafe UK's objective through its Platinum service is to create a constantly evolving culture of DSE health and safety for its clients taking into account "best practice", changing commitments, management style and ongoing strategy involving directors, management and staff. We commit our resources and expertise to achieving this and providing your organization with an active DSE health and safety programme.
One-On-One Risk Assessments
Our assessors attend your DSE users place of work and risk assess those members of staff that you have identified as users or operators under the DSE regulation.
Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Workstation Assessments
This entails:- One to one evaluation of each workstation
- Detailed questioning of workstation user
- Posture
- Interface with DSE
- General well being
- Any existing MSD, RSI or eyesight problems
- Any other issue they want to raise
- Complete comprehensive checklist: Chair, Screen, Lighting, Mouse, Keyboard, Desk, Environment, Computer interface
- Work breaks
- Basic DSE user training i.e. chair, posture etc.
Review Meeting
- After a pre arranged time scale, we will revisit your company with a view to checking to ensure that that action points have been carried out and that the users who raised issues have had the issues resolved. The fees charged for review meetings will reflect the number of assessments and volume of actions the employer is recommended to take.
Summary analysis
- We summarise the comprehensive checklists into a report that management can use to better track actions.
- A summary document for the management will be prepared. This will show all actions and points raised in the DSE risk assessment showing what needs to be done to comply. The fees charged for a summary analysis will reflect the number of assessments and volume of actions the employer is recommeded to take.
