Human Factors Integration training
Human Factors Integration (HFI) has risen to prominence in the defence sector in the last 20 years. It is a method of systematically incorporating Human Factors (HF) techniques and analyses into all phases of the SMART procurement process for military equipment, so that the delivered system is operable, efficient and safe for the user.
This is a one-day training course in the Human Factors Integration process, as defined by the UK Ministry of Defence.
The course describes how it should be integrated with the other procurement activities throughout the SMART process. The seven ‘domains’ are described in detail.
Who Should Attend:
- Defense sector employees such as: Engineers and designers who make decisions which could affect the operability and hence the operational capability of a new or modified military system
- Project managers, support managers and operations managers requiring an understanding of HFI for effective decision-making at all points in the project cycle
- Reviewers, compilers and stakeholders of HFI project documentation
- Human Factors engineers needing familiarity with the HFI process
