Course Outline

By the end of the session you will be able to:
  • Understand Fire safety legislation that governs your place of work.
  • Understand the chemistry of Fire.
  • Understand the mechanism of fire, how it spreads and the classes of fire.
  • Be able to identify the Fire Safety features found in your workplace.
  • Understand what actions you should take upon hearing the Fire Alarm.
  • Understand what actions you should take upon discovering a fire.
  • Be able to identify and use the correct extinguisher to fight different types of Fire.
By the end of session two you will be able to:
  • Evacuation Procedures
  • Principles of prevention and security measures
  • Identifying threats such as Terrorism and introdcuing procedures
  • Reducing company vunerabilities: Staff, Visitors, Physical assets, I.T Threats, Supply Chain etc
  • Action stages: The Alert, Establishing Relative Safety, Controlled Evacuation
  • Responsible persons and their responsibilities
