First Aid Training
Our Emergency First Aid At Work (one day) course is for classes of between six and twelve delegates.
This is a HSE approved course and the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate, is valid for 3 years.
Who is it for?
This course is for candidates who require an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate to comply with HSE requirements.
This is a HSE approved and certified course.
Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.
Course outline:
The Role of the first aider including:
- Communicating with a casualty.
- Contents of first aid kit and avoiding cross infection.
- Recording of incidents and accidents.
- Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
Administer first aid to a casualty who is:
- Unconscious (including seizures).
- Requires Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Is Choking.
- Is Wounded & bleeding.
- Is in Shock.
- Has minor conditions including: cuts, Bruises, Grazes, Burns, scalds & Small Splinters.
(This course does not cover medical conditions in the workforce such as Diabetes, Asthma, Severe Allergies or Heart conditions)
