Level 2 Award Food Safety In Catering:
This course usually requires between five and six hours of tuition and includes a one hour (30 question) multiple choice examination. Candidates must achieve 20 correct answers or more to be awarded an accredited certificate.
Who Is It For?
This qualification is for candidates mainly working within the catering industry and their daily tasks involve the receipt, storage, preparation, cooking/cooling/reheating of food, catering services, cleaning/disinfection and involved in carrying out a Food Safety Management System (HACCP).
Aims & Objectives:
The course provides an essential introduction for all food handlers involved in such tasks as; The daily safe receipt/storage, handling, preparation/cooking/reheating and service of food, including cleaning/disinfection and HACCP and is a legal requirement for all regular food handlers, ie, kitchen /food preparation assistants, cooking, service and cleaning staff, as required by the Food Hygiene Regulations '' in accordance with the food handlers work activities'.
Certificates of attendance are issued two weeks after course attendance and completion.
