Competent Person Course Overview

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 detail what employers must do in order to manage health and safety under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.

The law states that an adequate number of ‘competent persons’ need to be appointed in order to provide assistance in all health and safety matters.

The definition of a competent person is someone who has the necessary skills, experience and knowledge to manage health and safety.

Our Competent Person Training course will provide you with the training and knowledge that is necessary in order to be a competent person at your place of work.

The course can be customised to suit your needs.

We can take into account specific features of your premises and we can integrate a copy of your existing emergency plan into the course materials.
