About This Course
This information-packed Risk Assessment training course is aimed at those who have responsibility for risk assessments in their workplace.
As part of managing health and safety within an organisation, employers are responsible for assessing and controlling any risks in the workplace to protect employees and others from harm. In order to do this, you need to recognise potential hazards and then be able to take appropriate action in order to minimise the risk.
This course has been designed to ensure you meet the requirements detailed in The Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) 1974 Section 2 (1) to carry out “suitable and sufficient assessments of risk”.
Our Risk Assessment training course explains the moral, financial and legal definitions of risk assessment. We look at the legal requirements to help your organisation comply with the legal requirement to provide a ‘suitable and sufficient’ assessment of risk.
Course Aims
The course aims to provide all delegates with the knowledge and skills necessary to allow them to undertake risk assessments in the workplace. We use real-life situations to illustrate the principles of risk assessment in a fast-paced and interactive session.
Content
Our Risk Assessment course ensures you have the necessary tools and knowledge needed to comply with the relevant legislation requiring you to undertake “suitable and sufficient” assessment of risk.

- Hazards and risks.
- Who might be harmed?
- How to control the risks.
- Recording your findings.
